News Journals!

So I was compelled to write about something compelling and came upon the conclusion that I have nothing compelling to write about. So I decided to write about news journals, and the joy of them. For those who don't know what a news journal is, it is a 6-8 paragraph piece about a newspaper article of our choice. In this piece, we are suppose to write about how the article makes us feel, how it should make the general public feel etc. Basically, we write about how we feel. It's like a big group hug.
Well, for our Print Journalism course, we are suppose to write three of these a week and have them submitted. So far, I've had a fun time with them. But lately, and this is not meant to be offensive, I feel like I haven't found anything in the news that compels me. And it really started to bother me because I hate feeling like I have nothing to do. That is, until one of my classmate mentioned this site that has a billion different newspapers listed for our convenience. So now I'm happy that I'm not stuck anymore. And I look 'forward' to writing about the news....

I know exactlt what you mean! I found last weeks news journals extremely hard. I had to dig everywhere just to find a good article. Sure every week there are hundreds of articles but I wouldn't be able to talk about them for 6-8 paragraphs. So far, it has been very different for me since I hardly ever picked up a newspaper. Now I know a bit more about whats happening here and in other places around he world. Since I don't have cable I can't really watch the news either.

The news journals are sooooo difficult to do. I have such a hard time and rarely have enough to talk about for 6-8
paragraphs. Oh well. Hopefully with the election over, things will stop being only about the campaigns...
